Nickel-based self-fluxing alloy powder HRNi45A is suitable for applications where post-coat fusing might cause component distortion or where the substrate cannot withstand the heat involved in the fusing process. These materials partially coalesce during spraying, eliminating the need for post-coat fusing.

Nickel-based self-fluxing alloy powders are formulated for two-step spray-and-fuse metal surfacing, ideal for enhancing corrosion and wear resistance on ferrous components. They can be applied to carbon steel, alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, Monel, and nickel- or cobalt-based alloys. However, they are not suitable for brass, bronze, or aluminum, and some other alloys may require special handling. Depending on the selected grade, coatings achieve hardness values ranging from HRC 33 to 65.
