Our Spherical Inconel 690 Powder is carefully handled during storage and transportation to preserve the quality of our product in its original condition.
1. What is a comparison of Inconel 690 powder with other nickel alloys?
Inconel 690 powder has good performance in corrosive and oxidizing high-temperature conditions due to its high chromium content (27-31%). It is more corrosion-resistant than Inconel 600 and more stress cracking resistant than Inconel 625 in sulfur-containing environments, while 625 has better resistance to chlorides. It is qualified for nuclear use due to its low iron content.
2. Where is Inconel 690 powder typically used?
Primarily for nuclear steam generator tubing, it's also used in chemical reactors, heat treating equipment, and oil refinery equipment that's exposed to extreme heat and corrosion. In 3D printing, it creates robust, complex parts for challenging environments.
