Such nickel-vanadium alloy powders are fabricated from very high-purity nickel and vanadium with additions of small amounts of aluminum, silicon, and tantalum. This alloy powder is lustrous in appearance, and the concentration of vanadium can be varied. Vanadium is one of the major constituents for precipitation hardening of steel, and vanadium may be added to the alloy to enhance metal ductility.
