Zirconium Powder of high purity with extremely fine average grain sizes is extensively utilized in the production of pressed and bonded sputtering targets. It is also employed in Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) techniques, including Thermal and Electron Beam (E-Beam) Evaporation, Low-Temperature Organic Evaporation, Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), and Metallic-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD).
Because of its exceptional corrosion resistance, zirconium is frequently used as an alloying element in materials exposed to corrosive environments, such as surgical instruments, explosive primers, vacuum tube getters, and filaments.
