AlSi10Mg is a lightweight material. It offers a combination of good strength, high hardness, excellent thermal conductivity, and low density, with relatively moderate elongation.
Silicon is a key element in AlSi10Mg powder. It significantly lowers the melting point of aluminum, improves the fluidity of the molten metal, and reduces the tendency for hot cracking during the printing process. Simultaneously, silicon acts as a hard phase, contributing to precipitation strengthening, which enhances the material's strength and hardness.
