INCONEL 625 (UNS N06625) is a nickel-chromium alloy known for its high strength, excellent fabricability, and outstanding corrosion resistance, with a service temperature range from cryogenic to 1800°F (982°C). The alloy’s strength is enhanced by the presence of molybdenum and niobium, eliminating the need for precipitation-hardening treatments. This unique combination of elements provides superior resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments and high-temperature effects like oxidation and carburization.
The powder can be used in a variety of metal 3D printers including Renishaw, EOS, ConceptLaser, SLM, 3Dsystems, Arcam and more.

INCONEL 625 is highly versatile and used in various demanding applications due to its exceptional properties. In marine environments, it resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking, making it ideal for mooring cables, propeller blades, and submarine components. Its high tensile, creep, and rupture strength, along with excellent weldability, make it valuable in aerospace for aircraft ducting, engine exhausts, thrust-reverser systems, and turbine shroud rings. In the chemical processing industry, its ease of fabrication and strength enable use in heat exchangers, distillation columns, and transfer piping. The nuclear field benefits from its high strength and resistance to uniform corrosion, making it suitable for reactor-core and control-rod components.
Spherical powders are typically packaged in vacuum aluminum foil bags or filled with inert gas (Ar).
