Ti-6.5Al-1Mo-1V-2Zr is a near-α titanium alloy. It achieves solution strengthening through the α-stabilizing element Al, while incorporating neutral element Zr and β-stabilizing elements Mo and V to improve processing characteristics. As a result, it combines the excellent thermal strength and weldability of α-type titanium alloys with processing plasticity approaching that of α+β-type titanium alloys.
